Our Candidates for the 2012 Kane County Primary Election

Dave Richmond - 25th State Senate District
Dave has served as precinct committeemen for over 20 years for the Republican Party and has worked tirelessly to make sure his precinct turns out to elect strong conservative leaders. As a successful small business owner for 18 years, Dave understands what is needed to have a successful business environment. Low taxes, low spending and increased business growth, are major factors in building a successful business environment.

"I want to take the principals of limited government, low taxes and fiscal common sense that have worked for us in Blackberry Township to Springfield. We did better with what we had and it is time that Springfield does the same!" –Dave Richmond

Drew Frasz - Kane County Board Representative for District 26
Due to redistricting, District 26 will be reduced in size and will become District 18. It will include all of Blackberry and Kaneville townships and small portions of Batavia, Virgil, and Campton townships.

Elected as a reform Republican in 2008, the La Fox resident is proud of the county board’s fiscal responsibility during the economic slowdown citing reduced staff, reduced spending, a bond rating that was raised by two rating agencies, and a reduction of the county’s share of local tax dollars to 4.75%.

Frasz is proud of his firm opposition to expanding gambling, his role in expanding the county board’s ethics ordinance and preservation of open space.
